Digital Video Systems

Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has been available commercially for decades. One or more cameras are connected through wires to a video cassette recording unit. Essentially this is the same concept as a camcorder except the lens is separated from the recorder and the display.

DVRs handle all the same functions of a VCR without videotapes. The devices use a computer hard drive and offer some definite advantages such as not needing to replace or rewind tapes. Shore Systems technology is as simple to use as a video recorder. You can watch video locally on a monitor and the digital technology allows you to watch live and archived video and audio remotely from anywhere in the world through the Internet or on your LAN.
